In March 2007, in conjunction with the release of his book and following his ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) conference in Beijing, Ed Cohen, SVP of Satyam School of Leadership, presented his “Leadership Without Borders” research findings for 6 individual sessions for key accounts/target accounts across Beijing and Shanghai and a general mixer.
Key accounts/prospects include Novo Nordisk, Lenovo, Li Ning, Owens Corning and Kodak. Feedback from the participants was very positive and has resulted in or strengthened high-level relationships. At the same time, prospects/clients were left encouraged by the strength and depth of Satyam’s leadership as well as programs in place for leadership development.
An attendee at the ASTD conference happened to be the Learning & Development manager of Li Ning (large local maker of sports apparel with US$300million in revenue) whom we had talked to previously. He was so impressed by Ed Cohen’s speech at the ASTD conference that in the individual session with Li Ning following that, the turnout was fantastic, with the COO in attendance.
Two interviews were also conducted by China Daily and Shanghai Daily (articles yet to be published).
